It marks my third album release as a bandleader on Edition Records, and I can say without any hesitation that this remains to date the album I am most satisfied with. The music is full of emotional pushes and pulls, and it touches upon eclectic influences from Duke Ellington to Aphex Twin, right through to my deep-rooted love of North African traditional music. I’m simultaneously delighted and slightly taken aback that it seems to resonate with quite so many people.
