She leads m_unit, her own jazz chamber orchestra, where her complex compositions meet energetic performances. With three albums released on Universal Music Japan and Sunnyside Records, Hazama has consistently explored and expanded the horizons of modern jazz. Her work features collaborations with prominent artists such as Joshua Redman, Lionel Loueke, Stefon Harris, and Gil Goldstein, showcasing her ability to create meaningful musical partnerships.

Since 2019, Miho Hazama has served as Chief Conductor of the Danish Radio Big Band, following in the footsteps of notable leaders like Thad Jones, Bob Brookmeyer, and Jim McNeely. Under her guidance, the Danish Radio Big Band continues to evolve, integrating traditional big band elements with innovative techniques. Hazama’s expertise extends to conducting esteemed ensembles such as the Metropole Orkest, WDR Big Band, and Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra. Additionally, her role as Associate Artistic Director of the New York Jazzharmonic underscores her influence and leadership within the global jazz community.
