Aura is the third release in Romain Collin’s intimate, minimalist solo piano series, which began with the acclaimed album Dust. With Aura, he continues this focused approach through a collection of original compositions shaped by stillness, tonal depth and emotional precision. French-born and New York-based, Collin writes with narrative clarity, distilling each piece to melody, harmony and space – where a single note can hold the weight of an entire phrase.

Across Aura, restraint defines the atmosphere. Silence functions as structure, shaping pacing and breath. The upright piano brings warmth and proximity – the grain of the wood, the soft mechanics of the keys – placing the listener inside the resonance rather than observing from afar. Accompanied by a series of cinematic visual releases, the album expands its emotional reach while remaining grounded in simplicity, reaffirming Collin’s commitment to piano as intimate storytelling.
