Tom Poster is internationally recognised as a pianist of outstanding artistry and versatility, equally in demand as soloist and chamber musician across an unusually extensive repertoire.

Tom Poster has performed concertos ranging from Bach to Ligeti with Aurora Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony, China National Symphony, Hallé, Royal Philharmonic and Scottish Chamber Orchestra, under conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, James Loughran, En Shao, Robin Ticciati and Yan Pascal Tortelier. He has given solo recitals at the Brighton, City of London, Edinburgh, Hay, Presteigne and Spoleto Festivals, as well as in Canada, France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.

He features regularly on BBC Radio 3 as soloist and chamber musician, and has appeared several times at the BBC Proms. Tom enjoys duo partnerships with Alison Balsom, Guy Johnston and Jennifer Pike. As pianist of the Aronowitz Ensemble (former BBC New Generation Artists), he has appeared at the Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Aldeburgh, Bath and Cheltenham Festivals. Tom has previously recorded for EMI, Decca, Chandos and Sonimage, and his debut solo CD, In Dance and Song, was released on Champs Hill Records in 2014. Tom’s first disc for Edition Classics will explore contrasts of light and shadow, with Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ Sonata and Chopin’s ‘Funeral March’ Sonata framing Schumann’s Waldszenen (Forest Scenes).
