EDITION BECOMES TURNER SIMS’ FIRST ASSOCIATE LABEL
We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Turner Sims in Southampton as the venue’s first Associate Label. Across two years Turner Sims will work with Edition Records to profile some of its well-known names alongside rising stars.
Edition Records CEO and Artist Director, Dave Stapleton, says:
For many years, we have been showcasing our artists at Turner Sims. Those concerts have helped us to kickstart the careers of the likes of Phronesis, Dinosaur, Marius Neset and Daniel Herskedal in the UK. As part of this new associate relationship with Turner Sims, it’s incredibly exciting for us to announce a new programme of concerts.
Announcing the programme, Kevin Appleby, Concert Hall Manager said:
With this season we celebrate not only some of the exciting new talent from the UK and internationally but pioneering names in jazz. The landmark new relationship with Edition Records give us exciting opportunities both in the venue and through our online and digital channels.
Mercury-nominated Laura Jurd’s Dinosaur, who will play music from their new album Wonder Trail (Friday 12 October) in the first event to mark the appointment of Edition as Associate Label for the venue.
